Really enjoyed my course

I just finished the Hatha Yoga History course and it was awesome! I wasn't sure what to expect with an online history course, but the lectures were really engaging. I learned so much about the origins of Hatha Yoga that I never knew. The instructors were great, and I liked that I could go at my own pace. It felt like a really good use of my time, and I'd totally recommend it if you're into that kind of thing.

Buddhist Philosophy rocks!

Oh my gosh, I just completed the Buddhist Philosophy course and it was fantastic! The material was so insightful and presented in such a clear way. I really appreciated the depth without it feeling overwhelming. Everything was super easy to access. I'm already looking at what other courses I can take. Definitely going to be a returning student here!

Good Sanskrit course

I took the Beginner Sanskrit course. It was well-organized. The content was clear and easy to follow. I learned a lot. I'll probably sign up for another one soon.

Comprehensive Bhagavad Gita Study

I signed up for the Bhagavad Gita Study course back in September. The ordering process was straightforward, and I received my access details promptly. The course structure is very well-planned, breaking down complex philosophical concepts into manageable lessons. The instructors clearly have deep expertise. I particularly appreciated the supplemental readings and the way discussions were facilitated within the online community forum. While the video quality was generally good, a couple of older lectures had slightly lower resolution, but it didn't detract from the content. I found the self-paced format ideal for my schedule. A great resource for serious study.

Decent course, slow support

I purchased the Patañjali Yoga Sutras course last month. The content itself was excellent, really deep dives into the material. However, I had a technical question about accessing a module, and it took about four days to get a response from support. The online community platform is a nice touch, but it feels a bit clunky sometimes. Overall, good value for the academic depth, but customer service could be quicker.

They do! You usually have to email them or check the FAQ, but I've seen it mentioned for sure.

Yep, they definitely offer student scholarships. not just a discount code, but a full scholarship application process. might be worth looking into.

Planning to do a few courses. Do they have a deal if you buy a bundle of courses, or should I just get them one by one?

P Priya Kaur 2 months ago
Definitely look for bundles! They often have discounts for course bundles, especially for language programs.

Yeah, I bought the Sanskrit bundle last year and it was significantly cheaper than buying each level separately. Worth checking out the 'specials' section.

hey, was looking at the Sanskrit courses. are they all live or can I do them whenever?

J Jared S. 2 months ago
Some are live, like the workshops, but the main courses are pre-recorded. you can watch them on your own time.

yeah, I did the beginner Sanskrit one and it was mostly recorded lectures. there were live Q&A sessions though, which was cool.

are there any promo codes floating around for new users or anything right now?

N Noor L. 3 months ago
Sometimes if you sign up for their newsletter, you get an introductory discount code. Also, keep an eye out for early bird stuff.

Early bird is usually the best bet. They also do seasonal sales around September/January and sometimes May/June, so check then.

how does this compare to, say, Embodied Philosophy? is one better than the other for understanding Hindu texts?

R Renee Y. 2 months ago
Yogic Studies feels more academic and research-heavy, especially for the historical and linguistic stuff. Embodied is great too, but maybe a bit more focused on modern applications.

I've tried both. Yogic Studies goes really deep into the original texts and languages. Embodied Philosophy is good for broader concepts and practices, but if you want hardcore textual analysis, Yogic Studies is probably better.
